Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
This mix makes 14 cups of mix and will make 2 batches of cookies with about 6 dozen cookies per batch..

I keep it in a jar on hand for quick cookies. you may want to give it as a gift. I would put it in a large jar. you may store it for up to 6 months.

4 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar packed
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 cups of shortening
2 cups of chopped pecans or walnuts
2-12 oz packages of chocolate chips
Instructions
In a large bowl mix the first 5 ingrediants. cut in the shortening until the mixture looks crumbly then stir in the nuts and chocolate chips. to make a batch of cookies: In a large mixing bowl beat 2 eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Stir in 7 cups of cookie mix until well blended. (If the dough seems dry add 1-2 tablespoons of water) Drop by teaspoons 2" apart on greased baking sheets. bake at 375 degrees 7-9 minutes.
