Hawaiian Baked Pork
4 pork chops2 cups crushed pineapple2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced2 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
Spray a large casserole dish with non-stick vegetable spray. Pour in pineapple juice into casserole dish. then thinly sliced sweet potatoes. Lay on bottom of dish and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place pork chops on top of sweet potatoes. Place pork chops on top of sweet potatoes and bake covered with foil for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. then uncover and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.Makes 4 servingsCalories 296 Fat 5g Fiber 4g Carbohydrate 36g Cholesterol60mg Sodium 91mg Protein 27gWeight Watcher Points ? 6 Points

This is a classic example of why you should read a recipe through before deciding to make it. Ingredient list calls for crushed pineapple, but only pineapple juice is listed in the directions, and, the phrase 'place pork chops on top of sweet potatoes' is repeated back to back. Huh? What about the crushed pineapple? Put it on top of the chops and the chops don't cook enough (or maybe they should be browned first?). Should it be the first layer instead of pineapple 'juice'? At first glance, this dish sounded pretty good. Unfortunately, the recipe is grossly incomplete.
