Swedish Apple Pie
1 (30 oz.) can apple pie filling
1 c. all-purpose flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or oleo (1 stick)
1 egg, slightly beaten
This will make one 10-inch deep dish pie. Spread pie filling into oiled pan. In mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Blend in softened butter and egg, stirring to make a thick batter. Drop batter from spoon to cover pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are bubbly and top is nicely browned. Serve plain or with topping or ice cream while warm, other fillings can be used like cherry, blueberry or others.
