Gingered Plum Sauce
1 c. plum jam
1 tbsp. catsup
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. anise seeds, crushed
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/8 tsp. hot sauce
Instructions
Heat plum jam in a small saucepan over medium heat until melted. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Yield: 1 1/4 cups.
