Preheat oven to 350 F and grease or spray a 2 quart casserole dish. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until tender, 2-3 minutes. Stir in the chicken, black beans and the salsa.
Pour taco sauce into the casserole dish and then layer 4 corn tortillas over the sauce. Top with half of the chicken mixture. Next, add half of the sour cream in dollops. Sprinkle with half of the cheese. Create the next layer: remaining tortillas, chicken mixture, sour cream and cheese. Cover with foil.
Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes until bubbly. Uncover and bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
