Sweet and Sour Chicken
5 lb. chicken thighs, deboned
3 c. Bisquick
salt and pepper
1/2 c. oyster sauce
Sauce:
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. vinegar
1/3 c. shoyu
1/4 c. tomato sauce
1/4 c. ketchup
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. water
Vegetables:
1 small can bamboo shoots
3 small dry mushrooms
1 large carrot
2 large bell peppers
1 large celery
ginger and garlic
4 Tbsp. oil
salt
Instructions
Mix deboned chicken with salt, pepper and oyster sauce.Let stand for 30 minutes. Mix with Bisquick and deep fry. Fry all vegetables with ginger and garlic and let stand. Sauce: Mix all ingredients and cook until it looks clear. Put chicken in dish and put vegetables over chicken. Just before serving, pour sauce over.
