St Patrick's Day Brownies
I wanted to make some brownies with a St. Patty's Day theme, so I came up with this concoction. They really turned out great. My kids said they were the best brownies I had ever made. My husband said "how can you go wrong? Chocolate on chocolate with a little crispy crunch. Perfect!"
1 box brownie mix
I bag (12-14 oz.) white chocolate melting wafers (or chips)
rice krispies
green food coloring
Instructions
Make brownies according to directions. My brownie mix was for a 9x13, but my family like them a little thicker, so we did it in a 9x9 square. When brownies are done, melt chocolate in microwave in 45 sec intervals, stirring until smooth. stir in food coloring until you get the desired color. mix in rice krispies. I think I used about 5 C. Rice Krispies. I just added until the chocolate seemed used up by the cereal. Press on to top of brownies. Let cool. Serve. Yum!
