1 can (15 1/4 ounces) crushed pineapple
1 tablespoon grated gingeroot or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon grated orange zest
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, to taste
1 can (8 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup sliced green onions (optional)
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
Drain the pineapple, reserving the juice. Pour the juice into a saucepan; add the ginger, garlic, orange zest, allspice and red pepper flakes. Cook over medium-high heat for 8 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in the pineapple mixture, cranberry sauce, onions and lime juice. Serve warm or at room temperature over sliced turkey.
