1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 Dash salt
1 jar marshmallow creme -- (1 pt.)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts or fruit
Bring water, sugar, and salt to rolling boil
in heavy pan and continue to boil until 250
degrees or hard ball stage. Add boiling syrup
to marshmallow cream all at once. Stir until
mixture forms soft peaks. Add vanilla and nuts
or fruit. Stir well and work quickly because it
sets up pretty fast. Drop in puffs on buttered
foil or cookie sheet.
NOTES : I boiled my syrup to 252° (hard ball stage)
and to make chocolate divinity - added chocolate
chips and just swirled them through. Yum! |
