In a bowl, mix together the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. set aside.
In a 1 quart canning jar (or jar of your choice) layer the following:
brown sugar
white sugar
raisins
oats
top with the flour mixture.
to prepare cookies:
In a mixing bowl, cream 3/4 cup soft margerine. Beat in one egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add the cookie mix and mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2" apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees fo 9 - 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 2 minutes and remove from pan to a wire rack.
yeild - 5 dozen per batch.
Each jar makes one batch.
This can be stored for up to 6 months.
