Layer in the order given in a wide mouth 1 quart canning jar or in a jar of your choice.
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup chopped Pecans
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour mixed with
1 teaspoon baking soda.
Empty cookie mix into a large bowl, mix thoroughly.
ADD:
1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter or margerine softened
1 egg slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix until completely blended, you may want to use your hands as this works best. Shape the dough into balls the size of walnuts. lace 2" apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes cool 5 minutes before removing from the baking sheets. yield - 2 1/2 dozen
