4 sm. baking apples Whole cloves 1 (6 oz.) can frozen orange juice, undiluted 1/2 c. brown sugar 3 qts. apple cider 1 tbsp. grated lemon peel 2 sticks cinnamon
Core apples and cut thin strips of peel from around the middle. Stud with cloves. Fill cavities with brown sugar. Bake in pan at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven. Combine cider, orange juice, and spices in slow cooker (large). Place apples in hot cider mixture. Simmer 2 hours and serve hot.
