Wash, peel, and slice potatoes lengthwise. Slice should not be over 1/4 inch thick. Place in dish of cold water to retain color. Mix all dry ingredients well, and place in shaker. Pat potatoes dry and place in deep fryer or frying pan with enough oil to float. Fry until edges turn slightly brown and curl. Drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with the dry mixture on both sides. May be served hot or cold. Yields 6 servings
