Instructions
Combine sugar, butter, buttermilk, jam and egg yolks; beat very well. Pour into pie crust. Bake in moderate oven until tests done and is firm. Make meringue of egg whites and 4 tablespoons sugar, beaten stiff. Put on top of pie. Brown slightly in oven. .
