1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 squares chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon |

| Instructions |
| Cream together sugar and shortening until well blended. Add melted chocolate and well-beaten eggs. Sift flour, salt, and cinnamon together and add to shortening and sugar mixture. Add vanilla and stir until well blended. Bake in waffle iron. Serve with ice cream and chopped nuts.
