1 c. shortening 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. sugar 2-1/4 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugars well. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in flour, salt and baking soda which have been sifted together. Fill cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove at once to cooling racks.
