Apple And Cheese Casserole
1/2 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter or margarine
7 med. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
6 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. (4 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar
cheese
Instructions
Combine flour, sugar and salt, and mix well. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Toss apples with water and lemon juice. Spoon into a lightly greased 8 inch square baking dish. Sprinkle with flour mixture over apples. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Top with cheese, bake an additional 5 minutes.
