2-2 pound broiler fryer chicken, cut into serving sizes
1/2 cup flour
1-1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 tablespoons margarine
1 large onion, chop
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2-8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 cup dill pickle liquid
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/4 teaspoon oregano
Coat chicken in flour, salt, pepper mixture. Brown in margarine. Mix remaining ingredients, except mushrooms. Cover chicken with mixture. Cover with pan lid. Simmer approximately 50 minutes.
Add mushrooms. Cook 10 minutes more. Good reheated and prepared as company dinner.
