1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sq. melted chocolate
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon |

| Instructions |
| Cream shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add melted chocolate and stir well. Mix flour, salt and cinnamon together and add to the egg- shortening mixture. Bake waffles on lightly greased waffle iron. Serve warm, as a dessert, with a scoop of ice cream.
