Old Fashioned Boiled Salad Dressing (cooked)
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. flour
Dash of cayenne pepper
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1-1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. butter
Instructions
Mix sugar, salt, dry mustard, flour, pepper, eggs, milk and vinegar in top of double boiler blending each ingredient as added. Cook over
boiling water, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from hot water; add butter. Blend thoroughly. Cool. Yield: 1 pint dressing.
